Kawasaki City and Bundung City have been cooperating with each other in the environmental field. In February 2016, they signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) for inter-city cooperation to create sustainable low-carbon cities. A project proposed by Kawasaki City was designated as a JICA Partnership Program (Local Government Type). In this connection, the city has supported proper waste management in Bundung City, since August, 2016.
